David Yaw

David Yaw brings more than 30 years of upstream oil and gas experience spanning reservoir engineering, operations, asset strategy, A&D, analytics, and business transformation.
Across major, independent, and mid-sized operators, his work has repeatedly centered on the same challenge: taking technically complex or fragmented information and turning it into better business decisions. That has included redesigning operating practices, identifying overlooked asset value, improving capital allocation, evaluating acquisitions, rebuilding decision workflows, and introducing new analytical approaches.

His background combines a B.S. in Geology, an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering, and an MBA, allowing him to work across technical, operational, financial, and strategic disciplines rather than inside a single engineering function.

Today, Skysooner Energy Intelligence applies that experience to independent operators, combining experienced upstream judgment with analytics and AI to identify opportunities, reconcile conflicting information, and focus attention on the decisions that create value.
